Motonet appointed as Fairpoint distributer in Finland
Danish based fishing tackle manufacturer Fairpoint Outdoors A/S has signed a deal with Motonet Oy in Finland to sell and distribute the different Fairpoint Brands in Finland. This includes the Westin predator lures, Edge rods, Magic Minnow lures and sea fishing tackle and Kinetic tackle.
Motonet is one of the major fishing tackle retailers in Finland with warehouse sized shops at 21 different locations all over Finland. Besides fishing tackle the large Motonet shops have a wide selection of automobile spare parts and car care products, all kinds of hand- and power tools, boat accessories, gardening, cycling and motorcycling.
Motonet Oy currently has approximately 700 employees. During 2011 the total turnover of was € 150.3 million.
“Motonet have been selling fishing tackle since 1998. We are growing our sales every year we already have 21 shops – all of them with high quality fishing tackle compartments,” says Jorma Vataja the fishing tackle Product Manager at Motonet. “We have high expectations of our cooperation with Fairpoint Outdoors and their different brands like Westin, Move Mountain, Magic Minnow, Edge and so on. We believe that there’s lots of room and potential for growing sales of these brands and we already see how these brands can bring new trends to Finnish fishing culture.”
Fairpoint Outdoors will still be handling the distribution of the flyfishing brands, RIO Products, Unique Flies and Hardy in Finland.
