Soft Plastic time is coming fast.
As the water temps steadily warm soft plastic baits become more effective on all fish especially muskies. Here’s a few photos of two fish that came from Green River lake this past weekend. Both were caught while jigging around the marina docks. The angler who caught them is David Johnson. His first fish won their Muskies Inc. outing of the Daniel Boone chapter 52. This fish was 38.5″ (shown in the first 2 photos)
The second fish came the next day using the same technique and measured 38″ and is shown in the 3rd pic. The bait he used was a glitter shad Mohawk…..shown in the last photo. By adding some extra weight to the line above the leader he was able to use it to jig with…while the Mohawk was not designed for jigging… it just shows what can happen when you think outside of the box and are not afraid to try new things.
Congrats David on your Muskies Inc win and thanks for sharing the photos
